Book Fair is a highly-regarded publishing house working for the promotion of knowledge and awareness in Pakistan for the last three decades. The founder of this organization, Maulana Faqir Ullah Hashmi was a renowned educationalist, religious scholar, preacher and a close companion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. He had the honor of giving Quaid-e-Azam his last ablution and descending him into his last abode. Maulana Faqir Ullah Hashmi worked in the vanguard of the Pakistan movement and, after independence, actively worked for the development of the country, promulgation of Islam and promotion of education in Pakistan. Maulana Faqir Ullah Hashmi founded “Nazriya-e-Pakistan Academy” in his life, a publishing house of research-based, scholarly books. This organization published important research works on Islam, Pakistan Movement, Pakistan, education, instruction and other subjects.
After passing away of Maulana Faqir Ullah Hashmi, his son Maaz Hashmi took this mission forward and made his contribution in the publishing world with valuable books. Maaz Hashmi wrote many academic and literary books which gained popularity in the intelligentsia and general public. Along with Nazriya-e-Pakistan Academy, he founded other companies like “Khizer Readers”, “Book Fair (private) Limited”, “Al-Hannan Quran Company” and “Abdullah Books” which published numerous research and literary works of renowned writers, and which were greatly appreciated by the public.
In 2017-18, an online business was initiated under the leadership of Huzaifa Hassan Hashmi which published books on Islam, Quran-e-Hakeem, Seerat-un-Nabi, history, personal development and improvement, psychology, literature, and especially children’s literature which gained appreciation not only nationally, but also internationally. The high standards of writing, composing, designing and printing of Book Fair’s books had always been admired. In a very short period, this organization gained popularity in all the sections of the society and provided high-quality books to millions of readers.
